who knows what they believed, but the founding fathers definitely decided a separation of Church & State was the best way.
I’ve noticed that religious organizations and those who support them are inverting what the meaning of this principle is.
The two entities are meant to be separate. Both are protected from one another. But, the law of the land takes precedent. Despite their ideology, Mormons were prohibited to legally engage in polygamy. The federal gov repressed their “religious freedom” based on the illegality of their religious practices. Federal Law protects safety of citizens and civil rights. Protection of religious practices does not supersede the law of the land… In the eyes of the law…
Ah, I know somebody who does this. I’m trying to shake the sad feeling of relating to something pathetic.

Can’t think of a project for it right now, but these would be awesome shooting locations.

“stay here” & “make it out”: Los Angeles gives me conflicting reports. On one walk around the block with my dog, two pieces of signage communicated opposing advice.
Many people I’ve talked to lately have been weighing the decision to stay in LA or leave. I think this walk personified their inner-dialogue.
